Mike's original plan had been to continue to Swaffham Bulbeck but we decided we wouldn't have enough time so took the more direct route back via the main Newmarket Road. Although this A-road was very quiet it was nice to join the cycle track at Bottisham. We then returned to Cambridge via Quy, Fen Ditton and the Jubilee Cycleway again before heading across the city centre to arrive at our tea stop - Jim's house in Newnham - over half an hour late. At tea we met the riders from the day ride as well as serveral other members.

Club member John L (who led last week's day ride to Puckeridge) is 80 tomorrow and so we had a cake and candles to mark the occasion.
Today's mileage (including the very short return to Cambridge city centre after tea) was 33 miles.

Thanks for setting up this blog, I like it very much. And thanks for taking and posting the pictures; I think we should do this more often. If I remember, I'll bring my camera next time.
I very much enjoyed yesterday's ride, although it would have been even nicer if the weather had been like it was on Saturday. And luckily, there was still some food left for us at Jim's!
