CTC at the CUSU Freshers Festival 2014

Come along to Parkers Piece on 7th and 8th October, 10am-5pm, and visit the 'bike park' at the CUSU Freshers Festival 2014.

Everyone is welcome, including students from both Anglia Ruskin University and Cambridge University as well as the general public.
  • Learn about cycling in the local area from CTC Cambridge, Cambridge Cycling Campaign, British Cycling and the Cambridgeshire County Council's Road Safety Team.

  • Get inside the cab of Skanska’s construction vehicles to get an appreciation of how to safely pass large vehicles on your bike. Enter a competition to win a paintballing experience for you and your friends.

  • Ride weird and wonderful bikes at the 'Bike Try Out Show'.

  • Get your bike fixed for free by 'Dr Bike'.

  • Enjoy pedal-powered music as the Cambridge University Cycling Club (CUCC) pedal away and local artists perform.

  • Make your own pedal-powered smoothies.

  • Ride disability bikes from a local charity, You Can Bike Too.

  • Buy bikes and accessories from a number of bike shops including local shops Townsends Light Blue, Claud Butler and Cycle King as well as Prana Custom Cycles and Fred’s Bicycles.

  • Buy refurbished bikes from local charity OWL Bikes.

  • Learn about cycle security from the local Police.
